DIANA
Name: Diana Gabriel
1.What does NYC mean to you? NYC is my City. It has everything I live for: art, architecture, style, creativity, energy and people from all over the world. It is diverse, dynamic, challenging, beautiful! I learned just how much it means to me when I moved away. Every time I came "home" and stepped out of the car, plane or train, my energy level went straight up... ZOOM! like an elevator. When I'm here my energy matches the energy level of the City! Every time something ends here, something more exciting begins. I just walk around the streets, miles and miles of them, and meet people. Greatest experience ever.
2. What is your favorite place to hang out with your friends in the city. Favorite meeting places in my circle are the Met, MOMA, Whitney, Met Breuer, Guggenheim, MAD and art galleries. We all focus on art, personal style and what's new in the galleries.
3. If you could choose one place in the world to visit where would it be and why? I've visited many many places in the world. The most amazing travel experience I've had so far is a trip to Zimbabwe. I went for a month to buy stone sculpture for a show here in Manhattan and to see the animals. So I went to sculpture gardens, galleries and to visit artists in their homes. Travel to see the animals involved flying to three different locations. My advice to everyone is to go to Africa 'on safari' to see the animals in their natural habitat.
